Las Terrenas, Dominican Republic
Keep the Whole Bridal Party Under One Roof
If you are the one holding the destination-wedding group chat together, you already know the exact sound of it: a relentless cascade of pings about flights, shifting hotel rates, and tracking down who hasn’t booked yet.
The people you love most are flying across the world to celebrate you. They shouldn’t have to spend this milestone weekend scattered across four different hotel lobbies.
Houses you can request now
- Villa Serenity — Architectural twin on Playa Bonita — 10 ensuite suites, sleeps 20
- Villa Valentina — An architectural sanctuary on Playa Bonita — 9 ensuite suites, sleeps 18
The problem with resort room blocks
Spreadsheets vs. reality. A resort block looks tidy on paper. On the ground, it turns into staggered airport pickups, a shuttle that just left without the groomsmen, and bridesmaids doing hair and makeup in a cramped hallway because the “suite” is just a room with a slightly nicer lamp.
The Las Terrenas scatter. When guests land across fragmented boutique hotels and independent rentals, your weekend quickly dissolves into managing logistical timelines you simply cannot fake.
Fragmented evenings. The welcome dinner becomes a stressful search for a restaurant that can’t seat 30 people together anyway. Night one turns into a rigid meal for exhausted travelers who quietly slip away early because their bodies are still on another time zone.
Instead of one shared, unforgettable weekend, you get three separate evenings.
Enter Chris & Tamara
We are Tamara and Chris. We host families for a living, and we are bringing that exact same standard to the Samaná coast.
We provide expansive, large-scale private villa buyouts in Las Terrenas designed specifically for the people who need to wake up together—the bridal party, the parents, and your overnight core circle.
When you book one of our exclusive estates along Playa Cosón or Playa Bonita, the logistics shift instantly:
One table for the whole group. Everyone sits together for breakfast, recovery brunches, and late-night debriefs.
Corridor-free preparation. Our grand master suites ensure hair and makeup happen comfortably in a private room, not a crowded resort hallway.
Chef-ready kitchens. A fully equipped space built to feed a massive group, with private chefs available when you want the stove turned off entirely.
A dedicated local host. A named insider handles the day-to-day questions, so you never find yourself running event logistics while wearing your bathrobe.
The house around the vows
Your ceremony can live wherever you have already booked it on the peninsula. What our houses are built to do is hold the morning preparation and the quiet nights around the vows.
We design our properties with excellent natural light in the suites, bathrooms that do not force a morning queue, and dual-living floor plans. This ensures that last night’s party energy and this morning’s early call time never have to fight over the same floor. After you exchange your vows, you come home to the exact same kitchen, the same table, and the same familiar faces.
That is what a true villa buyout feels like. It is your own private compound, not a hotel that keeps operating around you with a rotating door of strangers in the next room.
Playa Cosón, Playa Bonita, or Cap Bonita
The vows can sit wherever you already booked them. The overnight house is a neighborhood choice.
Playa Cosón. Long sand and generous beach houses. The welcome dinner stays at the house instead of hunting a restaurant that cannot seat thirty.
Playa Bonita. Step-out water. Useful when parents and the party want the sea without a shuttle schedule.
Cap Bonita. Two neighboring estates when the overnight list is bigger than one roof. Combined beds up to 48. Still the inner circle, not the full ceremony.
Understanding villa capacities
A single luxury villa on this coast comfortably holds about 12 to 28 overnight guests, depending on the property layout. When we open two neighboring estates in Cap Bonita together, that combined stay can easily accommodate up to 48 guests.
Simply send us the exact number of people who actually need a bed—not your entire ceremony guest list—and we will give you a direct, transparent assessment of which layout fits your inner circle perfectly.
Getting the party onto the peninsula
Managing airport arrivals requires a clear strategy, not a messy text thread.
Samaná El Catey (AZS). If flight schedules align, flying directly into AZS drops your group right at the villa door in just 25 minutes.
Santo Domingo (SDQ). For year-round global hubs, your guests will land at Las Américas. From there, we recommend putting the party into private sprinter vans for a smooth, scenic 2-hour-and-15-minute ride across the island.
We highly advise coordinating and booking these sprinter vans well before anyone lands. Attempting to organize a WhatsApp thread at a crowded airport taxi stand is exactly how a dream weekend starts badly.
Coordinates, the toll road, private aviation into AZS, and the helicopter from SDQ are in the El Catey arrival briefing. The highway from Las Américas is the SDQ overland routing. Then private aviation, medical logistics, and estate provisioning.
The rest of the arrival math—including stocking groceries and navigating between Cosón and town—lives right inside our complete Las Terrenas Destination Guide.
If this is a reunion week — cousins, grandparents, two families under one roof — start on the family villas page. If this is a working week for a leadership team, start here.

Frequently asked questions
Who should fill out this form—the couple, the maid of honor, or the planner?
Whoever is actively holding the group chat together should reach out. Send over your ceremony dates and your overnight sleeping list. We will write back with an honest assessment of how our spaces fit your numbers.
Can we host the actual wedding ceremony at the villa?
Count on the house primarily for getting ready, hosting your welcome dinner, and enjoying the nights surrounding your vows. If you want the reception to take place directly on the property lot, let us know upfront. We verify specific property and HOA rules before anyone builds a wedding timeline around it.
How many people can sleep here?
A single house holds about 12 to 28 guests overnight. Two neighboring luxury houses in Cap Bonita, when booked together, can handle a combined overnight stay of up to 48 guests. Remember, this is just for the overnight party staying in the beds—not your total ceremony guest list.
Which airport should our party use?
Samaná El Catey (AZS) is 25 minutes away when flights line up. Las Américas (SDQ) in Santo Domingo is the reliable, year-round international hub sitting about 2 hours and 15 minutes away by private sprinter van. Book your group vans before anyone steps off the plane to avoid day-one friction.
Is this Las Terrenas Villas or Villa Del Mar’s own site?
No. Those are local hosts, and they keep their own booking pages. CTC is a complementary referral: we send the bridal party to a house on the peninsula. We do not replace how they already take reservations.
Should the bridal party stay in Playa Cosón, Playa Bonita, or Cap Bonita?
Playa Cosón for a long beach-house weekend. Playa Bonita when you want the water close enough that nobody loads a van just to swim. Cap Bonita when the overnight list needs two neighboring houses — up to 48 in beds, not the ceremony guest count.
